And the end: like you, I've received notice of a package or a raccomandata while I was home, though the yellow cards now seem to have disappeared in favor of a notice printed on thermal paper.

Symbolic and a bit unsettling. Reminded me of those crime scenes where someone “draws” the shape of a victim on the asphalt to indicate where crime happened. Waiting to see what these “smart” replacement boxes will look like and if they’ll be utilized. Boh as the Romans say.
